Job Title: Immediate hiring - Phlebotomist
Job Description
The primary role of a Phlebotomist II is to support the medical team by performing various tasks such as troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. The Phlebotomist will assist in collecting, processing, and storing specimens according to established protocols while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge specimens.Record maintenance data and perform decontamination tasks.Update patient information as needed.Collect and store specimens in compliance with established procedures.Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.Essential Skills
2+ years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting.Proficiency in blood draw and specimen collection and processing.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.75 - $22.00/hr.
