Job Description
The EVS Aide is tasked with ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in various areas within the hospital, including patient rooms, common areas, and bathrooms. You will receive training in floor care techniques such as stripping, buffing, and waxing to maintain the facility's high standards.
ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain patient rooms by removing trash, cleaning linen, mopping floors, and performing laundry tasks.Collaborate effectively with nursing staff in the hospital environment, handling exposure to medical situations involving blood, urine, and vomit.Sanitize and clean common areas including lobbies, elevators, and hallways.Execute work orders such as trash removal and spill requests promptly and efficiently.Essential SkillsProficiency in janitorial and housekeeping duties.Experience in cleaning, custodial, and environmental services.Ability to perform floor care tasks including mopping, sweeping, buffing, and waxing.Strong skills in trash removal and biohazard disposal.Excellent customer service skills.Fluency in English.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred: 1 year of experience in high-volume environments such as hospitals, hotels, schools, universities, office buildings, sports arenas, or amusement parks.Effective communication skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role primarily involves working the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, including weekends. The hospital setting provides exposure to diverse medical situations, requiring a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mission Viejo, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
