IJP_Principal Engineer - Applications Development

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh Tech team at MMC Corporate. This role will be based in Mumbai/Pune. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Marsh Tech - Digital Delivery is a unit within Marsh Technology Organization that focusses on developing and delivery innovative digital solutions and strategic engagements with clients, carriers, and insure tech companies.

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum 12 months experience as Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer

Should have at least “On track” or above in last appraisal

Should not be under any Performance Continuity Plan, or had any official Disciplinary action within the last 3 months

Should not have applied for any other IJP within Marsh McLennan in the last 3 months

What can you expect?

Uses best practice while programming, must be able to write superior quality code with excellent naming conventions.

Hands on technical expertise on using latest versions of Angular, React,NodeJS and MongoDB

Excellent understanding of NoSQL (preferably MongoDB) and RDBMS (preferably PostGres) with relational and nested document schema designing

Expertise in complex writing, reading, optimizing MongoDB aggregates and SQL queries

Knowledge of fine tuning Mongo and PostGres for indexing and other database level optimization

Experience with front end JavaScript libraries (preferably amCharts, PptxGenJS, PrimeNG)

Excellent understanding of REST services using NodeJS: Express or Nest

Experience in git branching strategy

Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis)

Superior ability to write good tests for 100% coverage in Jest or Mocha or Chai or Karma or Jasmine or Enzyme or Cypress

Hands-on experience in agile delivery and lean methodologies

Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, Security Groups, ACL’s, VP)

Experience with APIGEE, DataDog, CI/CD pipeline Docker, Kubernetes

We will count on you to:

Lead planning and grooming sessions & validate design of feature

Validate estimates by team members & ensure non-functional needs are met

Be a lead engineer who enjoys hands-on coding as well as can guide, monitor, mentor & review the work of team to ensure productive team members and help them complete their assignments.

Be an expert in MEAN/PERN stack and be able to help resolve technical blocks raised by the team.

Work with scrum masters on reviewing agile metrics and actively work on improving team productivity.

Set an example for the team by following best practices in architecture, design, coding.

Excellent programming attitude on data structures and algorithms

Experience with various tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence, Git / Bitbucket

Good Knowledge & Experience on Scrum Agile.

What you need to have:

Min 2+ Years in total of experience in developing full stack applications

BE/ BTECH/ MCA/ M TECH

Experience managing teams and leading developers to successful deliveries.

Integration with Lambda functions on AWS

Some project experience with Databricks

Some experience integrating front-end with BI solutions like Qlik, Tableau

Some experience setting up an EMR cluster with AWS Spark (including Spark SQL, DataFrames, Datasets, and streaming) and must have analyzed sample/real data set

Excellent communication skills and confidence in problem solving
