Summary/Objective: An Ice Cream Parlor Attendant will have the primary responsibility to ensure superior guest service and the distribution of ice cream, baked goods and fudge. Duties/Responsibilities: + Welcome every customer that comes through the door with enthusiasm and a smile. + Prepare and serve ice cream, baked goods, and fudge for guests upon order. + Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas throughout each shift + Maintain cleanliness of all dining areas, inside and outside of the building throughout each shift. + Wash ice cream tubs and utensils throughout the shift. + Attractively display and control portion sizes of desserts. + Inventory and restock supplies. + Operate a point-of-sale system (POS). + Return daily deposits accurately and consistently. + Follow proper opening and closing procedures. + Participate in workplace safety meetings. + Promote sales of events and services by providing all guests with enthusiastic and accurate information for these offerings. + Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with TRMF values. + Perform other related duties as required. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: + Excellent verbal communication skills. + Reliable, on time, and ready for every shift. + Provide outstanding guest service. + Willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays or special events. + Must follow all food handling procedures and standards. Required Education and Experience: + Must give exceptional service to all guests. + Must be able to troubleshoot and create solutions if needed. + Previous experience in hospitality or food service preferred, but not required. + Must be able to operate POS system, or willing to learn. + Must possess math skills sufficient to make changes for customers quickly and accurately. + Must have current food handlers certification. + Must be fluent in English, bi-lingual a plus. Work Environment: This position is generally in an indoor setting in a controlled, temperate environment; however, some job assignments may be in facilities that have windows open to the outside and may be exposed to the heat or cold. This role routinely uses standard kitchen and dining room equipment. Continuously working with others. Occasionally works in cold temperatures inside, around wet, slippery floors or surfaces, and chemicals. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, have repetitive use of hands and arms, grasp, push or pull, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds. Frequently required to walk, occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to bend over and reach overhead. Must have full use of wrists. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned and able to determine safety of workplace surroundings.
