I&C Engineer
Job Title: I&C EngineerJob Description This role requires a client-facing I&C Engineer who will manage the scope, budget, and schedule for the I&C discipline on assigned projects, including executing change management. The engineer will execute the I&C technical design and may serve as the engineer of record. The position involves performing or reviewing routine and complex engineering, design, analysis, and other technical tasks within the I&C discipline utilizing current technology and standards. Responsibilities + Prepare and review network/architecture drawings, communications drawings, BOP I/O List, control narratives, programming logic, P&IDs, and BOP and RIO cabinet coordination. + Work collaboratively with the integrated EPC team and clients to execute RFIs, deliverable reviews, change order requests, and engineering equipment buyout. + Conduct regular reviews of vendor documents to ensure compliance with specifications and data sheet requirements. + Foster high-performing teams and behavior to execute projects efficiently. + Mentor and develop team members by providing technical guidance on projects and disciplines. + Seek ways to improve customer satisfaction, work quality, and operational efficiencies. + Develop, review, and implement guidelines and procedures to ensure engineering standardization. + Stay updated with the latest technology and industry practices and find practical applications. + Lead quality checks of project design and engineering to ensure accuracy. + Establish credibility in technical competency and team leadership. Essential Skills + Registered Professional Engineer in electrical discipline (Power Electrical or I&C). + Actively involved in industry-recognized professional societies. + Familiarity with software including Studio 5000, Factory Talk View HMIs, and PlantPax. + Knowledge of VMWARE vSphere Architecture and Aconex Document Controls software. + Clear understanding of construction and constructability practices and principles. + Working knowledge of procurement and contract administration. + Experience with process and procedures for project controls and estimating. + Basic business and financial acumen. + Owner or Client engineering background. + Knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, API, NEC, PLC programming, and control. + Six years of experience in fossil fuels, power, or generation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in electrical or controls engineering from an accredited program. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to various audiences. + Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously. + Experience creating network/architecture drawings and control narratives. + Knowledgeable of ANSI, IEEE, API, NEC standards. + Understanding of mechanical system processes and the ability to program balance of plant logic. + Familiarity with Rockwell Automation hardware using Flex I/O and PLC controls. + Adaptable, collaborative, and a systems thinker. + Proactive in providing guidance on design guides, standards, and systems. Work Environment The role involves working during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within deadlines. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Leawood, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
