Job Title: Accounts Payable Associate

Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to maintain accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role. You will work in the queue, pulling data from invoices and routing them to the appropriate place.

Responsibilities

Process department mail distribution and scan/route invoices for coding and approval.Perform scanner maintenance.Ensure all invoices are processed for payment accurately and promptly.Research and resolve all past due balances or disputes.Assist with Dataloads, weekly Sales Tax Field reporting, and month-end close as needed.Review supplier statements and unaccounted reporting, resolving outstanding activity.Resolve missing invoice attachments reporting when applicable.Assist with systems testing as needed.Provide daily queue metrics to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.Escalate issues requiring 2nd level support to the Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager promptly.Participate in department projects and company initiatives as required.

Work Environment

The position reports to the AP Supervisor, who reports to the Director of Core Finance Operations. The office setup is modern. This is their shared service location, housing the majority of Accounting and Finance operations. The role follows a hybrid model with three in-office days per week, which can be chosen by the employee. The team processes around 150+ invoices per person daily, involving invoice entry, PO Matching, and Electronic Workflow Processing. Opportunities for internal promotions and leadership roles are available, making this a feeder group within the company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
