Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Job Description
As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform daily operational activities including managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash reconciliations. You will assist in posting member payments in the policy administration system and help with daily cash management with banks. Additionally, your role will involve balancing cash to transactions, assisting with Accounts Payable Processing, Unclaimed Property Filings, and monthly reinsurance activities. You will also be responsible for completing requirements for the annual audit of the organization's financial statements.
Responsibilities
Perform daily operations activities in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.Manage cash reconciliations and assist in posting member payments.Assist with daily cash management and balancing cash to transactions.Support Accounts Payable Processing and Unclaimed Property Filings.Assist with monthly reinsurance activities.Complete requirements for annual financial statement audits.Essential Skills
Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Proficiency in cash application and journal entries.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Proficiency in invoicing and accounting processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Over 2 years of accounting experience, particularly in AP/AR and cash reconciliations.Experience with ERP systems.Work Environment
Join a small, dynamic accounting team located in Arden Hills, MN. The team works four days in the office and has the option to work from home on Fridays. The typical work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Fridays. Enjoy a unique work culture that includes happy hours in the office on Friday afternoons, offering a balanced and engaging work-life experience.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.65/hr.
