Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Responsibilities

Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including prepaids, accruals, amortizations, and reclasses.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Support month end and year end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate.Assist with variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations in financial results.Manage the prepaid expense schedule, ensuring timely and accurate amortization.Prepare monthly accruals for expenses, services, and other financial obligations.Review invoices and supporting documentation to determine appropriate accounting treatment.Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring proper documentation and audit support.Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records.

Essential Skills

3+ years of operational accounting experienceExperience with prepaids, accruals, and account reconciliationProficiency in accounting software and general ledger maintenance

Strong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamExcellent communication and organizational skills

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, with the expectation of being in the office once a month for collaboration and to collect necessary equipment. The office is located on the fifth floor of a building designated as the Finance floor. The accounting and finance team consists of a large, supportive group of professionals, with this position being one of seven Accountants. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr.
