As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, operating, and repairing refrigeration and related equipment. Your duties will include preserving food, making ice, cooling water, and maintaining air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems. You will also calibrate, repair, and maintain all pneumatic control systems and related equipment, clean and maintain grills, ducts, and shaftways in A/C, ventilating, and exhaust systems, and complete preventative maintenance as scheduled while keeping meticulous records. Collaboration with the maintenance team to solve campus-wide issues is also an integral part of the role.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, test, operate, and repair refrigeration and related equipment.Calibrate, repair, and maintain pneumatic control systems.Clean and maintain grills, ducts, and shaftways in A/C and ventilation systems.Complete preventative maintenance and keep accurate records.Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve campus issues.Primarily focus on service technician work and preventative maintenance.Perform service calls across campus to fix HVAC-related issues.
Essential SkillsExperience with HVAC equipment, electrical systems, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.Proficiency in preventive maintenance.Valid S2 license is required.Experience working with rooftop units and small kitchen appliances.Knowledge of Building Automation Systems in relation to HVAC units.Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.Experience with gas boilers preferred.
Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHS 10 certification would be beneficial but not required.Experience within an educational system is preferred.Ability to work autonomously is essential.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will be part of a crew of approximately 15 individuals, each specializing in different trades. While there will be some interaction and collaboration, this role is largely independent. The work involves addressing HVAC issues across the campus, providing a consistent and routine work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr.
