**Job Title: HVAC Technician**
**Job Description**
As an HVAC Technician, you will install and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within plant buildings. Your primary responsibilities will involve performing preventative maintenance, installing duct, compression, and other HVAC systems in buildings throughout the plant. This role combines practical skills with technical knowledge and requires experience in a commercial setting.
**Responsibilities**
+ Repair malfunctioning HVAC systems.
+ Inspect functioning systems for potential issues and preventative maintenance.
+ Install new HVAC systems in new build or renovation projects.
+ Follow blueprints from other HVAC specialists or design your own systems.
+ Test and troubleshoot your installations after completion.
+ Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map out installation.
+ Install components such as compressors, motors, piping, and ducts.
+ Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components.
+ Test individual components to ensure proper installation and operation.
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
+ Troubleshoot systems and identify problems.
+ Replace or repair defective parts.
+ Perform emergency repairs while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
+ Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used.
+ Stay current with advances in HVAC technology and best practices.
+ Perform duties of the Maintenance Repair Person classification as well.
**Essential Skills**
+ Valid license to perform work as an HVAC technician in the state of Nevada.
+ Experience in HVAC, troubleshooting, maintenance technician, repair, mechanical, and electrical work.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to interpret blueprints and building specifications.
+ Strong understanding of HVAC codes and safety standards.
+ Capability to stay updated with advances in HVAC technology and best practices.

**Work Environment**
You will be working in an industrial environment. The plant is a union facility, and the position will be Monday - Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Henderson, Nevada.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $87401.60 - $87401.60/yr.
