Job Title: HVAC Technician 2Job Description

As an HVAC Technician 2, you will be responsible for repairing air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units and systems, as well as overseeing the overhaul of air conditioning and heating systems. Your role will include inspecting systems, performing preventive maintenance, and installing air conditioning and heating units, piping, pumps, motors, and refrigeration systems.

ResponsibilitiesRepair air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units and systems, as well as pneumatic controls, steam traps, pressure regulators, steam separators, pumps, fans, and motors.Perform periodic overhauls of air conditioning and heating systems to ensure optimal performance.Inspect air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems, performing preventive maintenance such as cleaning or changing filters, lubricating motors, and tightening belts.Install window and central air conditioning systems, heating units, piping, pumps, motors, and refrigeration systems.Assist trade personnel including plumbers, carpenters, and electricians in maintenance repairs.Perform maintenance and repair of all HVAC-related equipment within campus management restaurants.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in HVAC troubleshooting and repair.Proficiency in HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, and HVAC equipment.Skills in electrical work, service, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.EPA Universal certification.Valid driver's license with less than 6 points.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge in field service, sheet metal, installation, and boiler systems.Ability to pass a written skills test.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a first shift position with working hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. You will be working on a 1,157-acre campus in Kent, Ohio, covering various parts of the campus. You will report to facilities management, where custodial, grounds, movers/laborers, fleet service, maintenance, and trades report.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
