Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect and operate HVAC machinery and equipment and determine that all is functioning properly. Test efficiency of building systems by checking pressures and temperatures and make adjustments, if necessary. Performs all assignments in accordance with approved procedures.Familiarization with Building Automation System (Siemens)Maintain HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facilities preventive maintenance program.Adhere to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedule.Conduct necessary troubleshooting and testing of equipment to determine malfunctions or causes of breakdown; remove and replace faulty parts, sub-assemblies and major components; re-test repaired equipment and make adjustments for proper operation.Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges and control components.Install duct work, refrigeration piping, air conditioning units, and exhaust equipment.Install, operate, service and repair mechanical refrigeration/air conditioning equipment including all food service equipment, standard refrigerators, and general purpose air conditioning equipment.Performs other general maintenance duties as required.Must observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practices, perform work in accordance with recognized trade and C&W Services standards. Must be quality focused, customer service oriented and able to routinely communicate with peers and customers, clearly and professionally. Must have a high degree of honesty and integrity.Requirements:
Possess a high school diploma or an approved GED.Graduated from a certified Massachusetts HVAC trade’s school.Must hold MA Refrigeration Licensure and be certified for CFC universal refrigerant recovery.Experience in health care is preferred, but not required.Valid Driver’s License for use of company vehicle is requiredMust be familiar with applicable HVAC and electrical codes.C&W Services is an Equal Opportunity employer to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
