Job Title: HVAC Startup TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Startup Technician to join our team. This role involves the startup of HVAC units, including preventative maintenance tasks such as changing filters, belts, and conducting visual and audio inspections. The technician will also be responsible for installing sheet metal and selecting appropriate materials based on job requirements.

ResponsibilitiesPerform startup of HVAC units, including changing filters and belts, and conducting preventative maintenance.Test HVAC units, performing visual and audio inspections to ensure proper operation.Install sheet metal, working with basic hand tools such as hammers and cordless drills.Select appropriate materials for jobs based on strength requirements.Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to required dimensions.Measure, cut, and weld pieces together according to specifications or blueprints.Connect pieces or secure seams using riveting, rolling, soldering, or steel screws.Execute assembly line tasks such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters.
Essential Skills2+ years of experience in HVAC system startup.Proficiency in sheet metal installation.Skilled in the use of basic hand tools.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in commercial or industrial work environments.Interest or experience in HVAC installation and startup.Ownership of personal hand tools.Preferred skills include brazing and additional sheet metal expertise.

Work Environment

The work environment includes commercial and industrial job sites. Technicians are expected to drive their own vehicles to job sites, which are typically within a 30-mile radius, occasionally extending to 50 miles, with mileage reimbursement provided for longer distances.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr.
