**Job Title:** **_HVAC Service Technician_** **Job Description** As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, and building pump systems. You will troubleshoot both high and low voltage electrical issues within HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will also be tasked with installing HVAC and refrigeration equipment in accordance with industry standards and local codes, ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and meet code requirements. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose refrigeration cycles and electrical systems safely. + Perform quality inspections of your work and others’ during system start-ups. + Respond to emergency service calls during and outside normal hours. + Transport tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for job completion. + Maintain the company vehicle according to policy and manufacturer guidelines. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service. + EPA Certification. + Proficiency in measuring and identifying different voltages. + Deep understanding of the refrigeration cycle, including superheat/subcooling, TXV operation and adjustment, solenoids, superheat valves, receivers, and accumulators. + Ability to measure and interpret gas pressures. + Proficiency in diagnosing sensors, thermistors, and control devices. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives): programming, troubleshooting, and error code resolution. + Understanding of cooling tower, chiller, and boiler loops and their temperature requirements. + Must own and be proficient with ohm meters, amperage meters, refrigerant gauges, vacuum gauges, battery drills, pipe wrenches, and basic hand tools. **Pay** + $35.00-45.00/HR + Pay depends on skillset and experience **Why Work Here?** This company offers an opportunity to establish a career in the mechanical trades in the Charleston, SC market, providing a steady and growth-oriented environment for those tired of contract work.
