Essential SkillsExperience in plumbing, HVAC, troubleshooting, facilities maintenance, installation, electrical, repair, boiler, preventive maintenance, service, mechanical, and building maintenance.EPA Universal certification and Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or a construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, OR 4 years' experience in similar fields.Valid Driver's license and clean record.
Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to track refrigerant levels and parts usage.Skill in ordering and managing HVAC/R parts and supplies.Capability to maintain supplier and contractor relationships.Shift flexibility and ability to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations.Knowledge of OSHA and EPA guidelines, including refrigerant reclamation.

Work Environment
This service technician role involves traveling from location to location, with a service van and tools provided. Work occurs in narrow, confined spaces and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions is common. Work may require handling special substances, working at heights, and overnight or varying shifts as needed.
