Job Title: HVAC Mechanic

Job Description

Join the Facilities Maintenance team as a HVAC Mechanic, where you will be an integral part of maintaining, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC, boiler, and hot water systems. Your role will encompass installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, with a focus on troubleshooting and ensuring efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on HVAC, boiler, and hot water systems.Allocate 40% of your time to the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, boiler, and hot water systems.Devote 35% of your time to preventive maintenance tasks.Contribute 10% of your efforts to the operations and maintenance of energy management systems.Engage in troubleshooting as a primary component of the role.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and installation of pumps, motors, and piping.5 years of experience in a commercial building setting.Experience with building automation systems (BAS).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

EPA Universal License.Journeyman or Master's HVAC license.

Work Environment

Work within a college campus setting, providing high levels of customer service. The team operates with a strong sense of community and pride, featuring an average tenure of 8-10 years. The HVAC team consists of 12 members. Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with an on-call schedule post-conversion. A steel-toed dress code is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsburg, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $31.25/hr.
