Job Title: HVAC Foreman

Job Description

The HVAC Foreman is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing HVAC maintenance services for a mission-critical data center. This role ensures that all HVAC systems are maintained in accordance with operational standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial and data center HVAC systems, a strong understanding of cooling infrastructure, and proven leadership in managing technical teams.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage a team of HVAC technicians to ensure coverage and timely execution of the Facility’s Maintenance Program.Ensure compliance with applicable safety policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.Oversee HVAC repairs and replacements, including refrigeration circuit maintenance, motor and compressor replacements, and low voltage troubleshooting.Participate in heat exchanger cleaning, pump and gearbox repairs, plumbing repairs, and system performance monitoring.Respond to minor operations and emergencies.Maintain and enforce training standards for contractor personnel, including safety and technical training.Monitor and maintain chiller systems with N+1 redundancy.Ensure proper treatment of condenser water systems to reduce corrosion, control solids, and inhibit microbial growth.Support airflow management using hot aisle/cold aisle configurations.Apply refrigeration cycle principles, including understanding compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator functions.

Essential Skills

Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial or data center HVAC systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.Strong understanding of HVAC systems and ability to lead teams.Knowledge of data center HVAC infrastructure, safety and compliance standards.Proficiency in refrigeration cycles and pressure systems.Expertise in water treatment and airflow management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and data center best practices.Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.Ability to respond to emergencies and adapt to dynamic operational needs.

Work Environment

This is a Monday to Friday shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The role requires wearing PPE, including a Type 2 hardhat, hi-vis vest, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots. The work environment is dynamic and involves maintaining mission-critical systems in a data center.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ridgeville, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
