We are seeking a **Human Resources Student** for our **Canadian Industrial Division** in **Edmonton, AB** that is available for **4 months** starting in **May 2026** . This position will be under the direct supervision of the **Human Resources and Professional Development Manager** . As a **Human Resources Student** , you will contribute to our team by:
**Responsibilities**
• Supporting the team through preparation for daily events and follow-up actions (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, making phone calls, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation).
• Supporting activities requiring a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Involvement and exposure to various areas of Human Resources such as recruiting, staff planning, training and professional development, and record keeping.
• Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documents.
• Analyzing data reports and provide recommendations based on requirements.
• Identifying and correcting data entry errors.
• Addressing any issues, questions, and problems in an accurate and timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
What you will bring to the role:
• Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources Major.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).
• Must be proactive in terms of anticipating needs and follow-up items for the project team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality required of work assignments and is independent and resourceful to accomplish day-to-day tasks and assignments.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high-degree of accuracy and professionalism.
