Our client, a compassionate and compliance-driven home health agency, is seeking a hands-on, solutions-oriented **Human Resources Manager** to join their team. The ideal candidate is a proactive “doer,” not just a delegator, and can balance protecting the company with advocating for employees.
**What is the Job?**
**Recruitment & Onboarding**
+ Lead recruitment efforts across all departments.
+ Maintain and update new hire packets and orientation materials.
+ Track employee turnover and provide actionable insights.
+ Keep job descriptions current and aligned with agency needs.
**Employee Relations & Support**
+ Partner with directors and managers on complex employee matters.
+ Provide training and guidance to leadership on HR policies and best practices.
+ Administer EEOC and unemployment claims with professionalism and accuracy.
+ Maintain a cooperative and approachable attitude while navigating sensitive issues.
**Compliance & Documentation**
+ Administer Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) files.
+ Maintain central compliance and regulatory documentation.
+ Oversee year-end reporting (ACA, OSHA, and other applicable requirements).
+ Update and manage employee handbooks and policy & procedure manuals.
**Benefits & Compensation**
+ Assist with annual employee benefits marketing and renewals.
+ Conduct wage surveys and support compensation benchmarking.
**Training & Development**
+ Develop and deliver training programs for directors and managers.
+ Ensure orientation materials are engaging, accurate, and up-to-date.

+ Broad HR experience across multiple functional areas.
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; knows how to ask the right questions.
+ Collaborative mindset with the ability to balance business needs and employee advocacy.
+ Hands-on approach—someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets things done.
+ Strong organizational and communication skills.
+ Familiarity with healthcare or home health operations is a plus.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
+ Working knowledge of employment law, compliance reporting, and HR best practices.
+ Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
