Position Overview

The HR Intern will focus on specific process improvement projects that directly support the 2026 Magna Strategy and Goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruiting and onboarding processWork on creative ways to increase onboarding efficienciesProcess new hires through the HRIS systemsCreate proposals on retention ideasMarket Magna for different demographicsSchedule and participate in internal and external interviewsTrainingParticipate in orientation trainingPresent the HR slides to new hiresObserve production assistant/supervisor meeting on leadership developmentCreate training and presenting to the supervisorOrganize and execute employee gratitude wall projectSystems Audit/FilingAssist in the preparation of the annual IFTS internal auditWork through the check lists and validating appropriate documentation is included in each personnel file. If documentation is missing, processing the completion to maintain compliance with audit. Assist with electronic file conversion

Qualifications:

Some related experience preferred

Education / Experience

The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communication, or Business. Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year or enrolled in a graduate program. 

Special Knowledge / Skills:

Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
