Human Resources (HR) Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead and oversee key HR functions within our organization in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in HR practices, compliance, and employee relations, while demonstrating exceptional leadership and organizational skills. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration. • Ensure compliance with federal and Hawaii employment laws and regulations. • Administer HR systems and tools, ensuring accurate reporting and data integrity. • Lead onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires. • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals. • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters. • Facilitate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. • Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development strategies. • Manage union-related matters and skilled labor relations, as applicable. • Monitor and evaluate HR metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles. • Phone experience required • Ability to answer phones and provide excellent customer service • Knowledge of federal and Hawaii employment laws and regulations. • Proficiency in payroll and benefits administration. • Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools. • Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and confidentiality skills. • HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) are preferred. • Experience working with unionized skilled labor is a plus.
