Human Resources Generalist
Job Title: Human Resources GeneralistJob Description

The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the Chief Human Resources Officer by assisting with the administration of day-to-day human resources operations. This position serves as a knowledgeable resource for both employees and managers, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, leave administration, and personnel records management. The role ensures consistent interpretation and application of personnel policies, procedures, and employment laws, while contributing to a positive, compliant, and well-organized workplace.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates across clinical, administrative, and support roles.Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process, including maintaining and posting vacancies and managing candidate communications.Oversee the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate candidate records throughout recruitment and onboarding.Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates, providing informed recommendations to hiring managers.Prepare and extend job offers, coordinating pre-employment and hire documentation including credentialing for clinical staff.Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.Facilitate bi-weekly New Hire Orientation sessions, including paperwork, benefits enrollment, and system access coordination.Represent the organization at job fairs, recruitment events, and community outreach activities to build candidate pipelines.Track CORI forms upon hire and Re-CORI for all staff every three years.Track BLS expiration dates and schedule clinical staff quarterly for BLS training as required by HRSA.Maintain staff personnel records, tracking necessary paperwork such as personal information and employee changes.Process employee evaluations and send reminders to managers for completion.Assist in monitoring and managing leave applications such as PFML, FMLA, Workers Compensation, and unpaid leaves.Assist in managing ADA requests and involve managers in the interactive process.Maintain knowledge of current Personnel Policy & Procedures and assist employees with questions.Assist with HR projects, employee recognition, and appreciation efforts.Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer.Occasional travel to other locations and job fairs, requiring a valid driver’s license.Essential SkillsAssociate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field required.1–3 years of human resources experience required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with employees, managers, and external partners.Knowledge of basic employment laws, leave administration (FMLA, PFML), and HR best practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a healthcare or FQHC environment preferred.Work Environment

This position is fully on-site in Worthington, MA, with the potential to become hybrid after 6-12 months. The work schedule is flexible, Monday through Friday between 7am and 5pm, allowing for an 8-hour shift within this timeframe.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worthington, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.88 - $34.00/hr.
