Our HR team supports over 2,200 drivers and over 625 driver support roles across multiple states. This makes for a challenging and rewarding opportunity for someone looking to stretch their HR muscles. As HR Generalist, you work directly with key stakeholders throughout the business to support their needs related to Employee Relations and take a proactive, consultative approach to help them achieve their departmental goals and objectives. The Fit: You work with leaders and team members from across the company to develop performance improvement plans, support the developmental needs of team members at all levels, assist with unemployment hearings, as well as FMLA and leave of absence administration, and assist in various employee relations functions such as recruiting assistance and investigation and management of employee complaints. You must be able to communicate with a diverse population and have the ability to build trust and credibility through consistent support and delivering results. You must also be able to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing work environment and have the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities. Therefore, you must be able to: + Communicate with a diverse audience + Creatively problem-solve + Build trust and rapport + Think strategically + Effectively collaborate + Possess the ability and desire to develop and learn new skills Primary and Required Skills: + Prior experience as an HR Generalist (or similar) role. + Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of employee relations procedures and policies + Knowledge of multi-state and national laws and regulations related to employment + Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail + Ability to work independently with little supervision required + Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness Strongly Preferred: + DE&I experience + Project Management discipline + CP, PHR or SPHR We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues and has a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, diversity, performance management, talent management, learning & development, and federal and state respective employment laws. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is preferred or ability to obtain certification.
