Job Title: Human Resources DirectorJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Director to create and implement a strategic people engagement plan. This individual will assist managers in effectively leading and developing their teams through feedback, assessments, and identifying key talent. The role involves developing succession plans, making decisions about promotions or compensation, and maintaining positive relationships with leaders and employees. The Director will leverage information to enhance employee engagement and retention and advise on approaches to reward and recognize employees.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and implement a strategic people engagement plan.Help managers lead and develop their teams, including feedback, assessments, and key talent management.Develop and maintain close relationships with leaders and employees to enhance engagement and retention.Advise on reward and recognition strategies and support annual compensation cycles.Support leaders in addressing people-related issues, including employee relations, performance management, and legal consultations.Facilitate communication through town halls, newsletters, and other updates.Identify training and development needs and assist in budgeting and planning.Maintain organizational structure and support changes.Supervise and mentor the HR team.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in human resources.SHRM/HRCI certification.Experience in HR practices including performance management, employee reward programs, and employee relations.Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships and provide counsel.In-depth knowledge of legal/regulatory requirements for compliance.Ability to manage competing demands, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience with talent acquisition and benefits management.Experience with FMLA and leave management.Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home. The standard work hours are Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Urbandale, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
