Responsibilities

This role supports Lilly’s innovative RTP manufacturing facility.  The Associate – HR will be critical to ensure that the RTP People Strategy is implemented effectively, including how we attract new employees, educate our employees, set clear expectations with our team members, and fully engage our team members.

It requires the ability to work effectively with site leadership, manage data and projects, support HR processes, and support HR interventions for the site. Personal attributes required for the role include leadership, the ability to deal with ambiguity, ability to evaluate and manage data, ability to see connections across the organization, compassion, courtesy, and the ability to use good HR judgment.

Responsibilities:

Business Partnership

Prepare and run HR processes for the site such as the Annual Compensation Review, Technical Promotions, Performance Management, and Succession ManagementAct as local employee relations tiering to support managers and supervisors in dealing with employee issuesSupport managers with HR Information Systems questions (using Workday)Develop solid relationships with HR central team partners (i.e. Compensation, HR technology, HR centralized employee call centers) to ensure that RTP support is strong

Onboarding Employees

Run the local HR portion of the employee onboarding process.Ensure that new employees are engaged through warm encourages, mentorship assignments, and engaged in all key site meetingsOwn and improve site onboarding tools for our managers to quickly and easily onboard new team members

Recruiting and Staffing

Implement and plan recruiting events and sourcing activities, including campus events, hiring events, and BioWork career eventsSource passive and actively searching candidates individually through LinkedIn Recruiter or other methodsServe as a representative of the site at local community engagement events and career fairs

Reporting, Metrics, and Performance Tracking

Run and supervise HR metricsWork with finance to collect and consolidate headcount as part of the Strategic Planning & Business Planning processesProvide reporting on key metrics to Lilly MFG leadership, Site leadership, and HR leadershipMaintain the site organizational chart and staffing model

Site Projects

Work with RTP HR Strategic Business Partner to support high priority projects and/or initiatives for the site as needed (examples include Employee Experience plans, culture, onboarding, mentoring, etc.) Opportunity to improve HR systemsEnsure that all relevant Compliance processes are in place, including federal legislation for worker safety, compliance, hiring practices, and others as neededEnsure that materials are available to support local RTP managers in accessing local and corporate HR resources

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree5 or more years of HR experience in recruiting, staffing, HR partnership, and/or employee relations.Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$58,500 - $137,500

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
