GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Assistant/Coordinator is responsible for communicating, directing, and supporting internal and external Human Resources customers, and completing administrative and generalist functions in support of the Talent Acquisition Team.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support candidate onboarding activities by preparing offer and new-hire paperwork, scheduling pre-employment screenings, tracking completion of required documentation, and ensuring timely communication with new hires.
2. Maintain applicant tracking and recruitment records, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies and applicable employment laws.
3. Provide administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team, including posting job openings, coordinating interview schedules, preparing interview materials, and communicating logistics with candidates and hiring managers.
4. Assist with recruitment events and outreach efforts, such as job fairs, career days, and community events, including scheduling, material preparation, and candidate follow-up.
5. Deliver high-quality customer service by resolving routine HR inquiries, providing status updates to candidates and managers, and escalating complex issues as appropriate to ensure a positive candidate and employee experience.
6. Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external customers by greeting visitors, answering phones, responding to inquiries, and directing candidates and employees to appropriate Human Resources staff or resources.
7. Support new employee orientation and employee onboarding.
8. Assist staff and applicants regarding applications, transfer requests, qualifications review, and interviews.
9. Perform support functions related to employee education tracking in the Learning Management system (LMS) and license verification.
10. Support new and existing data integrations that share HR data with internal and external partners.
11. Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department as needed.
12. Support and champion Broadlawn’s REACH values.
13. Assist in other duties or special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in related field.
2. Ability to maintain and update Human Resources systems including HRIS, ATS and LMS.
3. Proficiency with computer programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
4. Ability to write and proofread detailed documents.
5. Ability to communicate in an effective and positive manner.
6. Ability to multi-task.
7. Willingness to innovate and adopt new practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 2 years of Human Resources experience in a complex organization.
2. Experience in a healthcare or related organization.
