Job Title: Human Resources Assistant

Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant will play a vital role in the recruitment and hiring process, as well as provide comprehensive HR administrative support. This position is responsible for coordinating recruitment efforts, supporting onboarding processes, and maintaining effective employee relations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage full-cycle recruitment for security personnel and administrative roles.Draft, post, and manage job advertisements across various job boards and platforms.Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and schedule interviews with hiring managers.Assist in the development and execution of recruitment strategies and job fair participation.Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure timely communication with candidates.Support the onboarding process, including background checks, reference verifications, and documentation compliance.Assist in preparing new hire packets, processing employment paperwork, and conducting orientations.Maintain up-to-date and accurate personnel records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, report preparation, and scheduling.Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, and HR procedures.Assist in organizing staff events, trainings, and compliance meetings.Support efforts to enhance employee engagement and company culture.

Essential Skills

Experience in human resources, onboarding, and data entry.Proficiency in administrative support and Microsoft Office applications.Skills in recruiting, HR administration, and clerical tasks.Experience with HR systems such as ADP and Paycom.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in HR support, recruiting, or a related role; experience in the security industry is a plus.Familiarity with HR and recruiting software systems such as ATS and HRIS.Human Resources experience or education is preferred.

Work Environment

The position is onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm at the location in Druid Park Drive, Maryland. The Human Resources Assistant will have their own office. There is an opportunity to convert to a permanent employee with PTO and benefits. Incentives and bonus programs are being developed to enhance employee satisfaction.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
