Job Description
The Human Resources Administrator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role involves maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes, supporting benefits and payroll coordination, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The HR Administrator serves as a key point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files on an electronic shared drive.Process new hire onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, I-9 verification, and orientation scheduling.Coordinate employee offboarding, including exit paperwork and benefits notifications.Maintain Attendance Policy, point system, logs, and communication to Supervisors on a daily basis.Onboard new hires with timekeeping biometric setup and badge.Enter and update employee information in HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing of HR transactions.Create job postings on platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn, filter resumes, log applicant tracking, and schedule interviews.Support HR training initiatives with content creation and maintaining completion records.Support Health and Safety Specialist and Human Resources with administrative tasks.Collect and maintain Safety Check Sheets from Supervisors.Essential Skills
2+ years of HR administrative support experience required.Experience in manufacturing environments with multiple shifts is preferred.Experience in recruitment and employee relations.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.Proficiency using HRIS systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ferndale, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
