SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes, supporting benefits and payroll coordination, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The HR Administrator serves as a key point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Administrative and Employee Support:
o Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files on electronic shared drive
o Process new hire onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, I-9 verification, and orientation scheduling
o Coordinate employee offboarding, including exit paperwork and benefits notifications
o Maintain Attendance Policy, point system, logs and communication to Supervisors on a daily basis
o Document all attendance line calls
o Create Job Descriptions format and work closely with Hiring Managers
o Maintain Schedules data in HRIS
o Review Timesheets for errors and validation on a weekly basis
o Maintain Perfect Attendance rewards
o Create an employee recognition system
o Maintain HR bulletin boards
o Onboard new hires with timekeeping biometric setup and badge
2. HR Systems and Data Management:
o Enter and update employee information in HRIS
o Ensure data accuracy and timely processing of HR transactions
3. Recruiting and Onboarding Support:
o Create job postings on Indeed and LinkedIn account, filter resumes, log applicant tracking, and schedule interviews
o Support HR training initiatives with content creation and maintaining completion records
4. Health and Safety Support:
o Support Health and Safety Specialist and Human Resources with administrative tasks
o Collect and maintain Safety Check Sheets from Supervisors
Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications
o Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
o HR administrative support experience required
o Recruiting, Onboarding and Administrative experience is required
o Experience in manufacturing with multiple shifts environments is preferred
o Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
o Experience using an HRIS, preferably ADP Workforce Now

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ferndale, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
