Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.

This role is contributing to the Motion Service division located in Vittuone (Milan).
You will be mainly accountable for:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, national, and international regulations, as well as ABB internal standards and guidelines.
Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
Deliver HSE training and awareness programs.
Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and KPIs.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all HSE-related activities, with particular focus on field service operations.
Support emergency response planning and drills.
Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE practices.
Qualifications for the role
At least 2 years of experience in a similar HSE role.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety) is preferred.
Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial companies is considered a strong asset.
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
