HSE Manager Job ID 226426 Posted 26-Jun-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Facilities Management, Health and Safety/Environment Location(s) Carlow - Carlow - Ireland, Dublin - Dublin - Ireland As a CBRE Health, Safety and Enviroment Manager, you will take an active role in creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for small to medium-sized clients. The EHS Manager will lead the development of safety/operational standards, procedures and policies and champions the implementation of these systems and programs to improve the region’s ability to meet or exceeds industry safety/compliance standards. This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities **What You’ll Do:** + Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders, and to ensure compliance. + Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks, and procedures. Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency. + Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements. + Track operational and safety risks. Develop and manage strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents. + Analyze and utilize KPI metrics to track the effectiveness of health & safety initiatives, benchmarking performance against industry standards and internal targets. + Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports. Provide recommendations on how to prevent risk. + Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential incidents and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. + Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the account. Work with management to create strategic solutions that improve and maintain compliance as required. + Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration. + Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers. + Leads the investigation of incidents and injuries and coordinates the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in client correspondence + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. + Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. successfully influence and inspire others to work safely and effectively + Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes. + Conduct annual merit reviews and prepare evaluations of EHS Supervisor performance. Develop key performance objectives that support Company goals and initiatives. **What You’ll Need:** + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Proven Leadership skills and experience in working collaborative with various teams to achieve results. + Additional certifications as required by the local authority. Any of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or other relative certifications related specifically to EHS, preferred but not required. Formal safety training, education and/or experience will be considered in lieu of the certifications listed above. + Must have a high level of enthusiasm for safety. + Known as a collaborator, team leader and problem solver. + Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. + Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
