HR Transaction Specialist
Job Title: HR Transaction Specialist Job Description This position operates within the central HR Shared Services (HRSS) department and is tasked with supporting various workforce administration processes, including transfers, salary changes, promotions, and terminations. The role involves providing timely, accurate, and responsive services to assist employees and managers with processing transactions, updating employee records, auditing data, and handling HR forms among other related HR processes. The Transaction Specialist also acts as a subject matter expert on Internal Service Requests, Employment Actions, the Organizational Management Tool, Employee Self Service, and the PA/OM functions of SAP and associated workflow. Responsibilities + Provide timely, accurate, and responsive services to employees and managers regarding critical Shared Services transactions to ensure data and processing accuracy. + Process a high volume of transactions using standard operating procedures and guidelines for various HR transactions, including hiring, personnel changes, and reclassifications. + Maintain regular payroll system input by processing relevant employee lifecycle transactions such as personal data, terminations, benefits data, and compensation details. + Perform data entry quality control procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of all HR job transactions in compliance with established policies and regulatory requirements. + Conduct HR operational processes including HR transactions, employee records, HR forms, and general HR policy information. + Ensure all inquiries and concerns are resolved timely and accurately, in accordance with HR Shared Services team SLAs, offering exceptional customer service. + Conduct real-time, daily, weekly, and monthly audits of HR transactions to ensure conformance and accuracy with established procedures. + Resolve cases and processing work with a high level of customer focus. + Review and resolve audits of HR and Benefit data routinely, working with HR points of contact and other internal customers to resolve data integrity issues. + Maintain confidentiality of all data and compliance with state and federal laws. + Maintain HR records to ensure compliance with HR recordkeeping regulations and best practices. + Escalate unique situations or challenges to supervisors or senior team members for further assistance. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Human resources + Administrative support + Customer service + HR administration + HR support + HR systems + ERP - SAP or Workday + Data entry + Administration Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or graduation equivalent. + Two years’ experience working in a call center or HR environment. + Associates degree in HR, Business, or Information Systems preferred. + ERP experience, preferably with SAP or Workday. + Knowledge of HR laws and regulations. + Knowledge of HR Policy and procedures. Work Environment The work environment involves a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The role requires working in the office for two days a week, with Tuesday being mandatory. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
