The HR Specialist 3 plays a critical role in managing and optimizing human resource activities within the organization. This position involves planning, directing, and coordinating HR management activities to maximize strategic use of human resources. The role encompasses a variety of organization development activities, including employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance.
ResponsibilitiesAdvise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefit and compensation policies, personnel procedures, and classification program.Evaluate job positions to determine classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary.Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales.Assist in preparing and maintaining personnel records and handbooks.Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts, and career path reports, to summarize job analysis, evaluation, and compensation analysis information.Essential SkillsHuman resources experienceOnboarding expertiseProficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred)Verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailCustomer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyKnowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practicesKnowledge of benefit and pay-scale systemsBasic mentoring skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelAdditional Skills & Qualifications3 plus years of experience within HRBilingual in Spanish preferredBachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience5-7 years of customer service-related experienceWork EnvironmentThis position is onsite in Gardena.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
