The Opportunity Tullow is offering an exciting opportunity within the Ghana Business Unit. We are looking for a dynamic HR Project Lead to join us on 2 - year fixed term basis, located at our Accra office. Job Purpose The O&M transition team needs to ensure the organizational capability is available to self-operate TEN and the Ghana BU organization has the right capabilities and competencies. The HR Project Lead will play an integral role in overseeing the delivery of the HR project workstream critical to delivering a fit for purpose organization. The role holder will work closely with the existing HR team to integrate existing HR processes and tools for seamless project delivery and handover to BAU. Key Roles and Responsibilities Act as the primary HR interface for contractors, employees, and senior leadership throughout the transition. Lead end-to-end HR transition planning and execution for FPSO personnel transferring from contractor to company. Manage employee transfer processes, including due diligence, data validation, and harmonization of employment terms and conditions. Oversee workforce onboarding, contract issuance, and confirmation of employment in line with company policies and labour laws. Develop and own the HR project plan and ensure key milestones are identified and communicated to key stakeholders Develop and deliver a staffing plan to ensure the team has the capability to deliver the key execution phase through to transition and then for further improvements and transformation efforts Develop and manage the Ghana Organisation structure required for self-operation and update as required Support change management and employee communications to ensure engagement, clarity, and retention during transition. Manage industrial relations matters, including consultations with unions, or employee representatives where applicable. Ensure compliance with local and international labor regulations, offshore requirements, and maritime standards. Lead payroll transition from MODEC to Tullow or Core crew contractor, benefits alignment, and HR systems integration. Identify and mitigate people-related risks, including critical skill retention and succession planning. Provide post-transition stabilization support, including performance management and organizational integration. Oversee job description preparation for all new positions Lead the job evaluation for all new positions and ensure they are mapped to the Tullow bands to determine appropriate compensation. Develop and agree internal functional service level agreements in line with project expectations and ensure suitable sourcing of individuals Partner with the Operam Resourcing Team to deliver timely recruitment and selection of best candidates for vacant positions Coordinate competency assessments for all new hires Ensure robust and SMART development plans are in place for individuals with links to succession plans to meet POD commitments Develop mitigation plans to manage risks associated with developing organizational capability for self- operation Ensure performance and behavioural expectations for each position is incorporated into individual contracts Manage onboarding processes for new Ghana BU organisation with senior Tullow leaders Work closely with the HR Managers and HR team to ensure key HR processes are followed consistently and correctly and in line with existing relevant policy Experience & Education Professional Degree in Human Resources or Business-related field A minimum of 10 years HR experience preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry Skills Good organization and relevant project management skills Positive attitude and demonstrate drive to meet objectives A minimum of 10 years HR experience preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry Practical understanding and experience in key HR process and practice including performance management, people development, succession planning, talent management Strong recruitment skills will be advantageous Knowledge of labour law, employee relations and awareness of local content laws Good understanding of reward practices Ability to advise and work with senior members of staff Good communication skills across all levels of the organization. Good understanding of the process for Risk Management & Mitigation. Logical thinker with ability to solve issues quickly Familiarity with project reporting requirements HR Consulting experience will be desirable.
