To support this mission, Syngenta’s HR Operations team is seeking a HR Payroll Analyst North America (Fixed Term Contract: 12 months) in Montevideo, Uruguay. 

Accountabilities 

Supporting the execution and administration of bi-weekly and monthly US and semi-monthly Canada company payroll processing, meeting all deadlines with precision and accuracy.Foster dynamic partnerships with Syngenta SME Local team and our offshore support team, leveraging multiple ticketing platforms.Spearhead data integrity initiatives, guaranteeing accurate processing and swift issue resolution.Act as a key liaison between teams, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.Proactively identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors and promote simplification.Stay current with payroll regulations and best practices, implementing updates as needed.Provide exceptional support to employees through Syngenta channels, addressing payroll inquiries with professionalism and expertise.Manages work quality through self-audit for accuracy, timeliness and completeness of work.Seeks satisfactory case conclusion for clients whether it be through direct resolution or resolution via handoff/third party groups.Engage in issue resolution procedures and follow escalation processes.Complies with Syngenta’s standards, procedures and policies, as well as regulatory requirements.Update and maintain various systems/tools per standard process documentation.File, archive and retrieve documents (paper-based and electronic) using filing standards.Respond to information requests by searching, summarizing research results and compiling in requested format. Escalate to the leader as appropriate.Consistently identifies gaps and areas for process improvement and collaborates to implement solutions.Execute standard processes and take recommended actions to achieve metrics.Executes other tasks assigned by leader such as payments operations regarding external providers/services.Delivery client satisfaction through accurate delivery and demonstration of ownership.Responsible for complying with Service delivery metrics (KPIs, SLAs, OLAs).Build and maintain processes documentation such as Work instructions, desktop procedures, etc.Support any audit process and provide required information.Supports and encourages effective collaboration, interconnectivity, and process alignment with all areas of HR and especially with HR Operations MVD and NA team.

Qualifications

Required  

Minimum 1 year experience in HR Operations supporting payroll processes.English proficiency (mandatory).Bachelor's degree (desired).Knowledge of US and Canada payroll processes such as earnings, deductions, taxes, W2, W4.Curious  and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Experience with HR Service (Workday), payroll systems (Dayforce), ticket system (SNOW).Strong computer skills (SAP, MS Office, in particular Excel) and an aptitude for learning new programs (mandatory).Interpersonal Skills – excellent written and oral communication capability Confidentiality - ability to maintain strictest level of confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of payroll and personnel issues.Strong analytical skills with eye for detail and problem-solving skills.Self-directed – ability to work independently and within a team.
