Job Title: HR Generalist
Job Description
The HR Generalist will act as the primary and sole HR point of contact for the organization in the absence of the HR Manager. This role is crucial to the company’s talent acquisition strategy for 2026, focusing on talent acquisition, new hire onboarding/orientation, and managing employee leave decisions/programs.
Responsibilities
+ Build positive employee relationships by enhancing an engaging work environment.
+ Administer benefit programs including health, welfare, life, disability, 401K, and FMLA, ensuring employee understanding through effective communication.
+ Act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefit-related issues.
+ Participate in recruitment and selection activities, maintaining related records, and managing pre-employment and hiring processes.
+ Conduct New Hire orientations and training, and coordinate temporary employee placements.
+ Record and maintain employee information, ensuring compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
+ Maintain and optimize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and compile reports as needed.
+ Communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
+ Administer FMLA and NJ FLA proactively and educate employees.
+ Apply knowledge of regulatory compliance including EEO, AAP, FLSA, and FMLA.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist.
+ 3+ years of experience with FMLA/NJ FMLA and disability programs.
+ 3+ years of experience with benefits administration, talent acquisition, and onboarding.
+ Strong skills in employee relations, human resources, and benefits management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
+ Three years of Human Resources experience including benefits administration, recruitment, or HRIS management.
+ Authorization to work in the U.S.
+ Eligibility for required U.S. Government authorizations to comply with U.S. export control regulations.
Work Environment
This position is onsite 5 days a week at the Whippany location. You can start between 7am-9am. You will serve as the HR point of contact for approximately 130 employees. The role includes an office in the HR section of the building towards the front.

This is a Contract position based out of Whippany, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
