HR Generalist

Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and refinement of HR processes that support a growing organization. You will serve as a key point of contact for employees, ensuring compliance, fostering engagement, and enhancing the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with leadership to implement HR programs, policies, and initiatives that align with business goals.
• Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes in HR and payroll systems to ensure smooth transitions.
• Prepare and distribute offer letters, onboarding materials, and other essential documentation.
• Manage the administration of employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations, and open enrollment support.
• Process multi-state payroll efficiently and accurately, adhering to compliance standards.
• Maintain comprehensive employee records and uphold compliance with federal and state labor regulations.
• Coordinate mandatory trainings, background checks, and ensure completion of compliance documentation.
• Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
• Assist in fostering employee engagement through internal communications and culture-building activities.
• Update and maintain HR policies, templates, and documentation to reflect current standards.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR or People Operations, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment.
• Solid understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements, especially in California.
• Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
• Proven ability to develop and optimize scalable HR processes.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills, demonstrating discretion and empathy when handling sensitive matters.
• Collaborative and proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience managing multi-state payroll and benefit functions effectively.
