Position Summary

Lead and execute HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, experience, and retention. This on-site role in Fishkill, NY manages employee relations, benefits and leave administration, compliance, HR operations, and HR systems, while serving as a direct resource to employees and managers.


Schedule, Location & CompensationSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PMLocation: HK Programs corporate office at 2 Summit Court, Fishkill, NY 12524Compensation: $20–$24 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualificationsKey Responsibilities

Employee Engagement & Communication

Drive employee engagement initiatives through surveys, community communications, and regular check-insMaintain Community Page content and coordinate all-staff Town HallsLead monthly benefits education sessions and virtual benefit orientations

Benefits & Leave Administration

Administer benefits for new hires, life events, and open enrollmentPartner with benefits brokers to ensure ACA compliance and appropriate plan coverageManage Workers’ Compensation, Short-Term Disability, FMLA, PFL, and unemployment claimsOversee employee 401(k) administration

Employee Relations & Compliance

Independently manage employee relations matters, including conflicts, performance concerns, and disciplinary actionsEnsure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSAPartner with legal counsel on employment-related issuesDraft, update, and enforce employee handbook policies

HR Operations & Systems

Support managers directly across core HR Generalist functions, including performance management, benefits administration, and disciplinary actionsProcess employee lifecycle changes, including terminations, role changes, and pay adjustmentsManage employee offboarding and associated documentationAdminister and support HRIS/HRIMS systems (Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms); Paylocity experience is a plusAssign and track 8x8 phone numbers

Licensing & Insurance

Manage certificates of insurance and coordinate with brokers and regional leaders Requirements

Qualifications
