The HR Director is responsible for partnering with leadership on HR strategic planning to effectively implement standardized processes and programs that support business needs. This role oversees staffing, organizational development, and employee relations for all company departments, ensuring alignment with policies and coordination with local HR Managers at each location. The HR Director leads a company culture that emphasizes safety, quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
ResponsibilitiesOversee staffing, organizational development, and employee relations across all departments.Lead and promote an employee-oriented company culture focusing on safety, quality, and high performance.Manage the business unit's total rewards program, maintaining competitive compensation and pay practices.Represent the company in all relevant HR meetings at the Corporate and Business Area level.Ensure company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal requirements.Design and manage a company-wide process for organization development, including succession planning and change management.Advocate for employee support and drive DEI and Social Responsibility activities.Negotiate and manage intra-company and external HR services.Develop tools to optimize HR functions and responsibilities within the company.Own and manage all IT HRIS solutions implemented in the HR department.Design and implement training and development programs.Support HR-related tasks in relation to business unit growth and integration activities with new sites, joint ventures, and acquisitions.Essential SkillsBroad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, safety, and training and development.Solutions-oriented with the ability to plan, implement, and drive HR projects while tracking KPIs.Above average oral and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members.Ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team.Experience in interacting effectively with the Board of Directors.Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and skills in database management.Experience in administering benefits and compensation programs.High level of confidentiality.Excellent organizational skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university.10+ years of progressive leadership experience in HR positions.Specialized training in employment law, compensation, and organizational planning.Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15%.Preferred: Related master’s degree.Preferred: HR/Benefits/CEB certifications.Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is flexible, primarily Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm, with occasional evening and weekend work as required by job duties.
