We are seeking a People Analytics Data Engineer with strong expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics Governance to join our SBD team. This role will design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions that empower leaders and business partners to make data-driven decisions. You will play a key role in transforming complex workforce data into actionable insights through trusted, auditable data products.
In this role, you will:
Build and maintain robust data models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability across all analytics solutionsIntegrate and manage data pipelines from multiple sources (HRIS, ATS, engagement platforms, etc.) to deliver timely and reliable insightsDevelop and productionize advanced analytics and data science solutions for workforce use cases.Create reusable advanced analytics assets and translate results into clear narratives and decision-ready recommendationsCreate, maintain, and optimize Workday reports and calculations to enable reliable self-service insights and consistent metric definitionsEstablish and enforce people data governance practices, including metric definitions, canonical datasets, documentation, data lineage, and role-based access controlsLead global data quality audits + ongoing monitoring, identify root causes, and drive remediation with HR and system ownersSupport compliance-related reporting and analytics, ensuring accurate definitions, traceable sourcing, and consistent outputsBuild repeatable analytics workflows using tools such as Alteryx and Python to operationalize standard datasets, QA checks, and reporting outputsPartner with stakeholders to translate complex business questions into clear, data-driven solutions and define success measuresImplement and uphold security and compliance protocols to maintain data integrity and confidentialityWhat we look for:
8+ years in analytics, data engineering, BI, or data science (preferably in an HR or People function)Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent job experienceStrong SQL expertise and advanced Python skills for data engineering and advanced analyticsExperience building, validating, and operationalizing predictive or statistical models (model lifecycle, versioning, reproducibility, and monitoring concepts)Experience using a data warehouse (Snowflake preferred) and working with large datasetsExperience with Alteryx for data preparation, automation, and repeatable workflowsData visualization and dashboarding experience (Power BI preferred but optional)Strong Workday Reporting expertise (custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and data validation concepts)Familiarity with HR systems and data domains (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ATS platforms, engagement tools) is a plusWorking knowledge of data governance concepts (stewardship, controls, data quality frameworks, lineage, access management) and comfort partnering with compliance, security, and HR stakeholdersStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilityExcellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersWe Don’t Just Build The World, We Build Innovative Technology Too.
