Job Title: HR Business Partner

Job Description

As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for recruitment, onboarding, and talent development to attract and retain top talent. You will play a key role in managing performance plans, resolving employee issues, analyzing data trends, and coordinating training programs to support the growth and success of the organization.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop strategies for recruitment, onboarding, and talent development to attract and retain top talent.Implement performance management tools and manage performance plans to help employees succeed.Resolve employee issues and mediate conflicts to improve workplace relationships.Analyze data trends to gain insights and guide people-related decisions.Coordinate local training programs with the learning and development team.Conduct talent reviews to identify key employees and create development opportunities for high-potential staff, with a focus on engineering and project management skillsets.Organize and assist with company-sponsored events.Address employee questions, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.Collaborate with the marketing team to create materials, manage social media, and handle internal communications for campus recruiting and the intern program.Develop a recruitment process for field positions, including transitioning union field workers to leadership roles.Provide coaching and mentoring.Manage networking and training programs based on specific positions.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in Human Resources/Talent Acquisition within a small to mid-size company.Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a business-related field.PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.Expertise in human resources, talent acquisition, recruiting, and employee relations.Strong administrative support and customer service skills.Proficiency in HR systems and data entry.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to engage passive talent.Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.Effectively manage time, multi-task, and pivot for competing priorities.Pay close attention to details.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Environment

You will work in the office five days a week in Des Plaines, serving as the manager's right-hand person when she splits time between other locations. The role requires self-sufficiency and the ability to be proactive in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr.
