HRA Job Profile

About this Role:

The HR Associate provides first line support, and is often the primary point of contact, to internal clients on HR services and programs. This role is responsible for effectively communicating and responding to HR inquiries, including questions related to benefits, policies, general mobility, and learning & development matters. The HR Associate supports the HR Partner, Country HR Manager, and the wider Talent Partner team in activities such as data analysis, change management, talent management, organizational design, and compensation initiatives. Additionally, this role contributes to cross-functional and regional projects.

The HR Associate manages onboarding and offboarding processes for all associates within a designated Business Unit or region, ensuring a seamless experience throughout each stage of the employee life cycle—from recruitment to termination. This role is instrumental in maintaining efficient HR operations and fostering a positive workplace environment.

What you’ll do:

Provide effective business unit and/or regional partnership and payroll general administrative support to the HR Talent Partner team and respond to inquiries from associates.

· Support multiple business units and/or regions

· Partner closely with our COEs to provide support where needed for execution of critical tasks and projects with a sense of urgency

· Become an expert on system functionality (e.g. Workday, Service Now and other) and help associates and leaders adopt systems and processes.

· Take initiative to respond to questions from associates regarding payroll, benefits, policy etc. in a timely manner and resolves routine issues, escalating where appropriate, while developing basic knowledge of other areas to be able to be the first point of contact to our associates for a variety of topics

· Develop basic knowledge of labour legislation in assigned countries

· Country and/or Business Unit reporting and audits.

· Benefits support in certain countries (e.g. France, Italy)

· General HR Administrative tasks including:

· Maintaining employment files and records per company policy and legal regulations.

· New hire onboarding, supporting a positive associate experience upon joining Gartner.

· Manage a consistent and comprehensive offboarding process differentiated by regional requirements.

· Absence and time management including tracking in company systems, processing updates and corrections, and providing guidance to associates on system requests, internal policies and applying for statutory payments

· Updating personnel transactions in the HRIS system.

· Reviewing and tracking of right to work and escalating where appropriate

· Providing verifications of employment.

· Maintain HR paperwork, to include transfers, promotions and applicable contratual changes.

· Project Work/Assignments: Partner on HR Operations, regional-specific HRA and HRP initiatives that drive business solutions that contribute to Business Unit or Country HR innovation, optimization and growth.

· Take initiative to suggest process improvements within HRA roles

· Supporting HR Partners on Employee Relations cases, with for instance notetaking, letters etc

What you’ll need:

· Excellent written and verbal English, and X language if required

· 2 to 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources

· Outstanding customer service skills and sense of urgency in a services environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to handle sensitive documentation.

· Strong understanding of HR processes and the ability to apply business rules.

· Strong report-writing/data analysis skills and a solid understanding of HR and employee data.

· High level of technical proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with HRIS systems preferred.

· Organizational Skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently
