HR Assistant
Job Title: HR AssistantJob Description We are seeking a dedicated HR Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be local to Minnesota and capable of supporting onsite events, including handling mail responsibilities 1-2 days a month. This role involves performing administrative functions such as employee benefits management, recruiting, interviewing, and strategic planning in HR. Responsibilities + Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems. + Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment. + Plan and conduct new hire orientation. + Support the HR manager with gathering necessary documents and paperwork for refereeing disputes and administering disciplinary procedures. + Respond to general employee questions through Workday Help, return employee voicemails, process employment verifications and unemployment claims. + Provide support to HR programs such as recognition and charitable giving programs. Essential Skills + Verbal and written communication skills. + Attention to detail. + Customer service and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and manage one's time. + Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices, including equal employment opportunity and affirmative action. + Knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems. + Experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required. + 0-2 years of related experience required. + Preferred Workday knowledge. + Administrative and customer service skills preferred. + Ability to multitask and handle confidential information. Work Environment Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm. The work environment fosters a culture where employees feel valued, empowered, and inspired. The role requires occasional onsite presence for events and mail handling, ideally located near the Prime Landing office. There is no overtime or on-call requirement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
