Supervises House persons and Room Attendants. Is responsible for the upkeep of all guest rooms, certain administrative apartments, storage rooms, offices and publics areas of the Guest Facility. Maintains inventory of linens, house wares and guest room supplies. Reports maintenance issues to front desk for completion by engineering. Coordinates with the front desk and management on the status and condition of guest rooms. Sees to the special requests of guests as reported directly to them or reported by the front office. Ensures the proper training all new hires and continued training of existing staff members of the Housekeeping Department.Job Description
Essential Job Duties
Manage the building staff in the absence of the Operations Manager or Property Manager. Includes all managerial functions, which are included in the Operations Manager and Property Manager job descriptions, or as directed by the Operations ManagerMonitor the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and purchase requisitions of housekeeping and front desk department Collect payments, invoices, outstanding balances and record all expenditure and generated revenue from guest facility Respond to guest enquiries and assist with resolution of guest issues Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety compliance inclusive of OSHA. Manage all audit processes to a high standard, ensuring 100% Health and Safety compliance throughout the guest facilityOversee maintenance of work order and purchase order systems, update and maintain office procedures in the property Operation’s Procedure ManualVendor negotiations with contractors and suppliers to reach a fair bargain for materials and services Responsible for aspects of annual budgets preparation, reservation reconciliations, and monthly financial reports, as well as preparation of bank depositsOversee the processing of management and maintenance staff hours, expense reports, check requests for review and approvalInspect guest rooms, guest areas and employee areas and assess compliance with all established standards as they relate to cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and securityMust have Fire Life Safety Director Certificate (FLSD) or must obtain FLSD license within 180 days of hire datePerforms other related duties as required or requestedKEY COMPETENCIESOrganization SkillsFlexibilityDetail OrientedThoroughnessResults OrientedIMPORTANT EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred
