About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Rooms, as the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including training, supervision, and coaching of the team. You will ensure the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations by providing an excellent and consistent level of service.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Preparation of staff rosters and allocation of duties to colleagues
Control manning levels in relation to occupancy requirements, service quality, and cost control
Management of the Housekeeping Attendants productivity levels and quality of service standards
Lead the team in line with Hyatt’s purpose and values
Ensure the department’s operational budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs are controlled and expenditure approved
Respond to guest complaints
Work closely with the Front Office and Engineering departments to complete room maintenance as required

Qualifications
Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager in a luxury hotel
Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead, guide and motivate a diverse team
Ability to drive exceptional cleanliness and service standards through the team
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along with strong service recovery skills
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and keep calm under pressure
