About the role

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.

What you will be doing:

Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards, including bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, floors and all components of the guest room.Change linens and re-stock supplies in each room.Complete all pre and post cleaning duties including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use.Report all missing items from room (i.e., irons/boards, hair dryers, etc.) to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.Handle items for “Lost and Found” according to the standardsMaintain work area neat and organized.Clean all guestrooms in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations.Report all unsafe conditions immediately.Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor

What are we looking for?

What you bring to the role:

Previous experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physically able to move objects such as housekeeping carts & vacuum cleaners; capable of operating vacuum cleaners.Ability to stand and be mobile for most of an 8 hour shift.Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and written with employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
