Job Description
As a housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in designated hospital areas. Your duties will include cleaning public restrooms, washing sinks and counters, disposing of garbage, refilling supplies, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping linens from beds, and preparing beds. You will be working in and around patient rooms without patients, ensuring the environment remains sanitary and safe. If cleaning occupied rooms, you will introduce yourself to patients, inquire if they need any additional assistance, and communicate their needs to the medical staff.

Work Environment
The work takes place throughout the hospital, including areas such as doctor's offices, patient rooms, post-partum, emergency, behavioral health, dialysis, orthopedics, and critical care. The environment is fast-paced and can be stressful, involving extensive walking, up to 7 miles a day. The job is physically demanding and requires comfort with being around sick patients, including those with infections or diseases. Located at the Hood River Providence location up on the hill.

This is a Contract position based out of Hood River, Oregon.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
