Overview Position: Hotel Maintenance Technician Location: Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown About Us: At the Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown, we’re committed to providing outstanding guest experiences in a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment. We’re currently seeking a skilled and motivated Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. If you’re a detail-oriented problem-solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, we’d love to meet you. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs Respond promptly to maintenance requests and efficiently troubleshoot issues Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and resolve potential problems Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain accurate records Collaborate with other departments to support overall hotel operations Maintain the hotel’s landscaping and outdoor areas Monitor and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies Address guest concerns with professionalism and timely service Oversee operation and upkeep of boilers, water heaters, and mechanical systems Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms and public areas to minimize downtime Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repair work Maintain pool and spa facilities, including chemical balance and cleanliness (if applicable) Respond to emergency maintenance situations, including after-hours calls Contribute to planning and executing the hotel’s maintenance budget and schedule Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives Keep maintenance areas, tools, and storage spaces clean and organized Train and support junior maintenance staff as needed Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal or storm preparation Benefits: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package $500 sign-on bonus Opportunities for growth and career development Employee discounts on hotel stays and dining Positive, team-oriented work environment Join Us: If you're ready to be a key part of a dedicated team and take pride in keeping our hotel in top shape, apply today. Qualifications **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting. - Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general maintenance. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $17.00/Hr. - $18.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
