Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Hot Shop Helper, where you'll support blacksmiths in forging operations and contribute to efficient material movement and handling. You will be involved in driving forklifts, reading calipers, and operating grinding equipment, ensuring precise forging and material transport.
ResponsibilitiesFollow lead and directions from crew blacksmith to move material on press to forge.Drive forklifts to move and transport material safely and efficiently.Read calipers and other measuring equipment to determine the forged size of material accurately.Drive manipulators for advanced material movement in and out of furnaces and around press equipment.Operate grinding equipment used in grinding forgings and input forging stock material.Essential SkillsProficiency in bandsaw and saw operation.Competency in using measurement tools.Experience in production and fabrication.Skill in handling hand tools and general production tasks.Ability to operate forklifts.Knowledge of grinders, blueprint reading, machine operation, deburring, and material handling.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift certification preferred.Work Environment
The position is situated in a manufacturing environment where precision and safety are paramount. You will work with advanced press and furnace equipment and adhere to a dress code appropriate for manufacturing settings.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
