A Hostess (Lobby Lounge) with Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is responsible for welcoming guests and managing the arrival experience within the hotel’s lobby lounge, ensuring refined service coordination and an exceptional first impression in a luxury setting.
What will I be doing
As a Hostess (Lobby Lounge), you are responsible for greeting guests and serving the needs of guests who experience the hotel’s lobby lounge. A Lobby Lounge Hostess is also responsible for organizing and maintaining order within the reservations and seating area, including the logging of bookings and enquiries. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Follow the telephone and reservations standards as per standard operating procedures (SOP) and respond to bookings and all enquiries professionallyGreet all guests according to luxury service standards and escort them to their allocated seating area, presenting menus as appropriateIntroduce guests to the assigned service team member in accordance with SOPManage seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow within the lobby lounge environmentEnsure that the logbook is completed accurately after each service period, including guest preferences and service notesMaintain an immaculate and well-presented hostess desk at all timesAnswer all telephone calls to the correct standards and handle guest enquiries and reservations efficiently and courteouslyEnsure the reservation system is kept up to date with all guest details, preferences, and special requestsCoordinate daily bookings in line with the seating plan and lounge operationsEnsure menus, promotional materials, and briefing information are prepared prior to each service periodDemonstrate thorough knowledge of lounge menus, beverage offerings, and signature experiences to respond confidently to guest

Comply with hotel licensing regulations as well as health, safety, and fire proceduresEnsure adequate supplies of operational materials and maintain neat organization of the hostess station
